Hi All,

Well this one is going to be a bit of everyones. An across the board hybrid of all the best Allied tank parts out there.

This project is very much in its infancy at the moment and is going to be a "here and there" job as time (and money) permits.

Over the last few weeks I have recieved a number of parcels from Steve at Panzerwerk and John at East Coast Armoury and I just couldn't hold off getting to grips with them any longer. As its Sunday and I no longer work 24/7 (well for you lot anyway Laughing ) here are the first bits.

In the words of Rolf Harris........"Can you see what it is yet"

The Breech on the 105mm has been heavily modified and I have done a little to the barrel and cylinder front end. The rest of the 105mm and the transmission are just as they come at the moment.

Both the 105mm from Steve and the Transmission parts from John are first rate. I also have Johns new exhausts, air filters, fold up seats, drivers seat and drivers compartment detail.

Chassis will be a steel "one off", Bogies and Idlers will be Mark One and I am hoping to get some Armortek Tracks and Sprockets to run it on.

I will post as and when I get chance to work on it.

On a seperate note I am looking for 3 handwheels to detail the 105mm carriage and if anyone has any leads to suitable castings (or whatever) it would be appreciated.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

I've added the firing lanyard and mechanism as well as the elevation parts. I've also made a few small changes to the sight as when I looked back at the pics there were a couple of bits I wasn't happy with.

I have the range quadrant and parts to make and then that is pretty much the 105 itself done.

Cheers

Dave

Hi All,

Picked up the drive casing from Armortek yesterday, after 30 seconds with the dremel to ease the resin castings it dropped in a treat. I was dreading I'd made it all and it wouldn't fit.

Cheers

Dave

Hi All,

I hope to have the basic shell finished tomorrow. The Plasticard upper hull locates over the Armortek pannier floor upstands and should need minimal fixings to keep it in place. By using the steel and aluminium of the Armortek hull all the way out to the edges it will protect the plasticard upper hull once its a running model.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

I've been catching up on master making so havn't done much to the M7 recently. Having cleared some of the outstanding pieces I needed to do I have spent a little while on it today cutting in the torched edges of the steel.

Cheers

Dave

Hi All,

With work on the Comet parts and now the Quad again not much is happening with the M7. I did take the opportunity whilst on hols the other week to get one section of track built and with the good weather this weekend fitted the sprocket and idler housings and finally got a coat of Etch primer on the lower hull.

Cheers

Dave
